Willowsford, an exceptional new community inspired by Virginia’s farming heritage and a commitment to natural design, received numerous top awards at the recent Great American Living Awards organized by the Northern Virginia Builders Industry Association, Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association and the Washington Metropolitan Sales and Marketing Council.

The awards program is a residential design, sales and marketing competition in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. market.

Willowsford won for best website, social media blog, and information centers. In addition, Willowsford’s lifestyle magazine “Inspired” which serves as a community, education and information communication on a variety of regional topics and individuals with connections to the community, won the category of best printed brochure. Willowsford’s signature event, A Taste of Willowsford won a merit award for best integrated marketing campaign.

“A very special thanks to Fraser Wallace Advertising and Ecendant Interactive for their tireless efforts and creative contributions,” stated Laura Cole vice president of marketing for Willowsford. Fraser Wallace Advertising and Ecendant Interactive handle all of Willowsford’s creative work and technology.

In addition, Willowsford’s builders also took home awards for their architectural designs and interiors. This year Pulte’s Sherwood at Willowsford model won for best design and architecture as did both the Addison and the Grays models for Integrity Homes. Camberley won best interior merchandising for its Milburn model. Integrity also won for best printed brochure. Last year, K. Hovnanian and Van Metre (also at Willowsford) won awards for their home designs in the community.

“The ongoing awards for Willowsford are terrific,” stated Brian Cullen, who is leading the Willowsford development team. “We are honored to receive them and very excited for the builders at Willowsford to receive the recognition they deserve for their unique architectural and interior designs.”

Last year, Willowsford was recognized as “Community of the Year” in their first year of opening. This year, the 4,000 acre community with 2,000 acres of open space including a farm and 40+ miles of walking and biking trails (in addition to many other amenities), has expanded to include The Lodge at Willowsford with a large fitness center and demonstration kitchen.
